Welcome to the Cocaine Awareness campaign for Dublin 12

This campaign has been running since 2008 and has taken the form of Drama's, Information Booklets for Young People, Educational programmes for ESL and schools; Training for local Drug Workers.

 Educational workshops

Workshops were devised to run in two local youth services in Dublin 12, using art, film & music to get the message accross.
Screening of New Options New Choices Cocaine Awareness DVD was launched at the INITIATIVES LAUNCH
St John Bosco Youth Centre, Drimnagh. on 14th OCt 2010 by Minister Community, Equality & Gaeltacht Aff, Pat Carey.

40+ people attended launch, including families of Young people involved in production of video. Age group was over 16, due to content of video.

Screening and official launch of the Youthreach Cocaine Awareness DVD on Friday 15th October
at the CLOSING EVENT, Scoil Colm, Armagh Rd, Crumlin

 Schools Cocaine Awareness facilitated session

This event had a large attendance from students and some parents. Rosary College\ St Agnes Choir & orchestra sang and performed beautifully. Approx 100 5th year students from Rosary College and the Assumption secondary schools  attended.
The facilitated session on Cocaine went well and young people interacted well with the facilitator. Youth reach students shouted out answers throughout the session because they had learned a lot from the Youth reach cocaine awareness programme. They demonstrated the positive learning from participating on the programme.
